The Secret Life of Pets

To start off, I just want to point out that this movie is HILARIOUS, and fun for the whole family. The Secret Life of Pets is about a city pet dog named Max (played by the voice of Louis C. K.) finds his fun and free flowing life disrupted when his owner whom he adores brings home a stray dog known as Duke (played by the voice of Eric Stonestreet) who doesn’t like to share with Max. Suddenly, a conflict occurs and this leads to the main adventure where Max and Duke get lost and end up in an underground sewage with a group of abandoned animals–headed by a despicable cute bunny named Snowball (played by the hilarious Kevin Hart)–who have officially declared war on humanity for ignoring them. Meanwhile, the other neighborhood pets who are friends of Max notice he is missing, and being a long adventure to find and rescue Max. TSLOP is a very colorful and well animated movie, with fun characters each with their own stories, but what’s even better is the jokes. TSLOP not only has funny dialogue, but it has some very funny scenes. As for the acting, the actors who voiced the animals in this film did a great job. What really stood out to me was Kevin Hart. I didn’t previously know who was going to voice Snowball the rabbit but once I heard his voice I immediately knew it was Kevin Hart. In my personal opinion, Hart’s character was definitely the funniest. Then we have Louis C.K. who voiced Max, a Jack Russell terrier and Eric Stonestreet who really fit the voice of his character, the big Duke. Lastly, we have Steve Coogan voicing Ozone the Sphynx cat and Jenny Slate voicing Gidget the cute fluffy dog. Another thing I really liked about the movie is the way it demonstrates the thoughts and behaviors of the pets. Their thoughts and conversations were the funniest parts of the film, and they just made me laugh and laugh.

Here is my rating system. After reviewing every movie, I will rate the movie out of 5 and out of 100 to let you know what I think of the movie.

5(95-100): It’s an absolutely great movie that I would recommend to everyone, and definitely one worth watching.

4(80-94): It’s a good movie that I would still recommend, but it’s just not exactly at the very top.

3(70-79): It’s a movie that’s better than average, but still has its ups and downs.

2(51-69): This movie is definitely under average. This movie is hard to enjoy and the director of this movie probably wasn’t even trying to make a good movie.

1(50 and below): This movie is just complete utter bullshit, so much so that it makes me angry that I even watched it. The director of this movie was just drunk. This is the type of movie that will make you question your ability to pick a good movie. Instead of buying these types of movies, just donate your money to charity and you will be better off anyway.

My rating for The Secret Life of Pets is 4 and 81.

TSLOP is a very entertaining movie and definitely a good fun for the whole family film.
